Keep going ...

More than a year ago, John was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer.

Today John is at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Neb., undergoing chemotherapy and having blood clots monitored.

Recent weeks have brought a bit more downs than ups, but just as he encourages his kids with the story of "The Little Engine That Could," we, too, encourage John to be that little engine.

Please feel free to share your thoughts, comments and or prayers.

Hi John...I'm Jennifer Stauss Windrum's mother and I too have stage 4 lung cancer and like you, never smoked. Jen keeps me updated on your condition. My thoughts and prayers are continually with you and your family. Maybe one day the smoking stigma will be gone and they will try to help people like us. Stay strong!

Warmest regards,
